New Standard ‘Bots

Posted by Mr. Buracas on 2008-11-05

Three groups of  grade nines (the Rob C course) are working on a formal design challenge to replace the existing Standard Teaching Bot (read about it here).  In short, we’re looking for a more flexible and fun-to-play-with model, that will allow students to experiment with different gear ratios and swap sensors quickly.

Here’s what we have so far… a sneak peak into the design process.

So… three different designs.  Where will the process take us?  What are the potential rewards?  Your name on the winning robot.
