Hello Parents.

I am dancing as fast as I can.

There is lots going on right now.  I have my D2L shells up and running, and students fully enrolled. I am also busy getting my lessons organized and uploaded to this Website.  But until I give this section its due attention, allow me to present a few notes for you, just to get you and your child started.

1. We will be doing a LOT of online work. And this Website (PDQScience) will be an important resource for your student.

2. Under specific units of study and lesson blocks, you will find links to classroom notes.  These are in Google Docs format, and allow anyone with the link to view (but not edit) the work we have done in class. In most circumstances, students should transcribe notes and example problems (and their solutions) in their own hand. This leaves room for student questions, extra notes to themselves, and for more in depth exploration of ideas.

3. PDQScience is our Website, and is entirely my own creation.  The content (the sites I link to), of course, comes from all across the Internet, but the presentation, the lessons, the notes, and all of the commentary is my work. I never simply download and print materials for my students.

4. Missed classes? Missing assignments? You should be able to find everything you need to get your student caught up.  You need to know what grade (of course!), the unit, and the current lesson. Your child should be able to answer those questions for you. Look for GoogleDocs.

Note: Many of our documents are works in progress, that are added to daily. You have to look for changes from one day to the next.
