Announcements
This section is for new announcements and such The latest three or four will be listed here, but you can click here (real soon now) for an archive of previous announcements. Some of them are important, even.
- First Assignment – the first assignment is… um… assigned There is a hard cap on the deadline for this, which will be Friday September 11.
- Materials – duotangs and loose leaf can be provided, but if you want a snazzy colour, or your own, custom designed lined paper, feel free to bring it in. Your log books will be stored in class, and hardly ever brough home to be forgotten. Or eaten by your cat.
- USB Sticks – All students should have one. To backup their work in this, and other classes. And to transfer work to and from school. In robotics, this is particularly important, since programs can (and do) get corrupted, and can (and do) get erased or otherwise misplaced. If you shop around, you can get one for under $10. 1 gig is plenty.
Information
Here’s a few things that might be of interest to budding photography students:
- Course Outline – read what this course will be about.
- Photographer’s Rights – you do have the right to take pictures, of people and places. The link provides an in depth summary of the Canadian Law.
- Make sure to visit What to do with your thumb drive so that you know what you can do with your thumbrive. My students all require on for my classes. 512 Mb is the smallest, but should be fine.
- Photoblogs (and other links) - some of the photography sites that I visit on a regular basis. A good place to go to for inspiration.
